Julian the Apostate has made several appearances on this blog. Raised a Christian, he was a schoolmate of the great Cappadocian Fathers. Eventually, he led the charge to re-paganize the empire. Not too long ago, we observed the anniversary of his battlefield death at the hands of the Persians.
