		<description>You neglect to mention the very thing that made Marcion so popular - that he resolved the blaring inconsistency of a deity that approves of, nay commands, genocide. In Numbers and Joshua, Moses and Joshua at the command of god commit crimes that we could only describe as crimes against humanity. The god of the Old Testament... sins. Marcion&#039;s thought will never die because the orthodox refuse to deal with this issue. Either the god of the OT never existed, or he is not good. Logic has a certain persuasiveness even to Christians. :)</description>
