I can’t imagine why there would be any doubt about the authenticity of the house church at Dura. On the wall of the baptistry one finds the Good Shepherd, Adam and Eve, the Woman at the Well, David and Goliath, the Healing of the Paralytic, Peter and jesus walking on Water, and the Women at the Empty Tomb. These interpretations of the artwork are from Graydon Snyder, Ante-Pacem, pp. 134. Professor Snyder is a meticulous scholar. It is possible that the scholars who interpreted these pictures could have been mistaken in one or two instances, but this baptistry is so full of Christian symbols it would be impossible to be mistaken on all of them. Thanks for allowing me to comment!
