Hi Father Rick! The best place to begin is the Ancient Christian Commentaries series published by InterVarsity Press. The Luke volume has great material on the parable, and it points us to Origen (Homilies on the Gospel of Luke 34.2-3), Jerome (Homily on Psalm 14[15]), Ambrose (Exposition of the Gospel of Luke 7.73-84), Augustine (Sermon 179A.7-8 and Christian Instruction 33).
