Nothing Is Hidden …

By now you’ve probably seen this: a fragment from the world’s oldest Bible (Codex Sinaiticus, fourth century) was found hidden the library of St Catherine’s Monastery in Egypt.

The original discovery in the XIX century saved the manuscripts from being thrown into the fire of the monastery’s kitchen oven. I wonder how many more unique and fantastic treasures like this still lie in that ancient monastery. Hopefully the monks are now more aware of what they have in their care.
